New Alko wheel locks

I have them but they are a pain fitting to a twin axle as most of the time you need to jack it up to get both fitted as wheel need to line up.

Now using them only when the vans at home as extra security.

Got 4 wheel lock, hitch lock and alarm.

Anyone else use them?

Glenn, when you were testing these things did you point out the difficulties that many people seem to have with fitting the locks.

I did point out about the twin axle fitting and that I did not think the Alko side jack was safe on a van which weighed some1600kg. I only use a small trolley jack

But my van is only single axle and I don`t find any difficulty in fitting the Alko lock

Also this lock would be very hard to force off, angle grind, and a oxy acetelenne cutter would only set the caravan on fire due to the heat dissapated under the wheel arch.

I only got the Alko to try out when I got my Van on the 14th August.

I recieved the proper one from Alko on the 2nd Sept So whatever I said would not have made any difference

To revive this topic I think the Alko lock is the best thing since sliced bread, however my van is single axle with a motor mover...
