Our new Rhyno
Hi y'all! As promised, my report back on our new Rhyno motor mover, fitted yesterday. Engineer Andy fitted it in around 2 hours, having first slagged off the designers of the new Bailey Pageant Monarch Series 7, as it was virtually impossible to reach the rear of the battery box from inside the van, as the side TV unit, housing the Truma heater was completely blocking access!! After some head scratching we came up with a method of wiring it all up, but the isolating switch had to be located in the end cupboard of the side unit, not ideal, but better than nothing. Andy did a superb job, no mess and a very nice guy all round.Rhyno UK are great to deal with, never any problems. Have had a play with it and it is excellent! Plenty of power and easy to manoeuvre. Just one point to mention however, it is ESSENTIAL that you have, at least, a 110 amp/hr battery and that it is kept well charged at all times, as the motors are extremely powerful and will not perform well if the battery is <12.5v. I will post an update when I have used it in anger, in some tricky situations. 'til then, regards, Dave.
